Why does my saved link show a cookie notice or an error page?

The preview image shows a cookie banner. This is a known limitation. 4later dismisses the common consent dialogs automatically, but not every website allows that. The saved content, the title and the summary are not affected, only the picture is covered.

The title or summary describes an error page or a cookie notice, or the entry shows "Behind a sign-in". Some websites block automated requests or show their content only after signing in. 4later then only saw what the site shows to a visitor who is not signed in.

How to get the right content:

  1. Open the link in 4later (tap the attachment).
  2. Sign in or confirm the cookie dialog until you see the actual content.
  3. Tap the camera icon Use as preview in the bar at the bottom. 4later then creates the picture, the title and the summary from that view.

The link itself is saved correctly in any case. Tapping the attachment opens the real page.
