How do I save emails to 4later?

You get a personal 4later address. Everything you forward to it becomes an entry: newsletters, invoices, tickets, order confirmations.

Set it up

  1. Open Settings in 4later and tap Import → Email.
  2. Tap Enable Email Import.
  3. Choose the topic forwarded emails should land in.
  4. Tap Copy Address and save the address in your contacts, for example as "4later".
  5. Use Send Test Email ... to check that everything arrives.

Use it

Forward an email to your address. Shortly afterwards your devices show a notification that the email was saved. The subject becomes the title, the body is stored as a PDF (with images and clickable links), and attachments are kept as separate attachments as well.

Good to know

  • Email import is part of the Basic and the Premium plan. How many emails per month your plan includes is shown on the Email Import page (Settings → Import → Email).
  • When your monthly allowance runs low, one notification a month tells you. If 4later cannot save a forwarded email, you get an email about it. More in the article "Why was my forwarded email not saved?".
  • Attachments can be up to 50 MB each. Supported: PDF, images, documents (Word, Pages, Excel, Numbers, CSV) and ZIP files, plus audio and video.
  • Do not share the address with anyone. Every email that arrives there becomes an entry in your account. If the address got into the wrong hands, tap Regenerate Address .... The old address stops working immediately.
  • A password-protected PDF from an email shows a lock with an unlock option when you open it. Once you enter the password, it is readable on all your devices.
