You always share a whole topic. Everyone you invite sees the same topic, always up to date, and you decide who gets in.
- Open the topic, tap More and then Share Topic .... In the topic overview a swipe to the right on the topic works too.
- Send the invite link, for example by Messages, Mail or AirDrop.
- Whoever opens the link sees a preview and taps Accept invitation. For that the person needs 4later and an account.
- You get a notification and find the request on the topic's sharing page under Requests.
- Decide: Approve, Approve as Contributor, Approve as Editor or Deny. Only your approval makes someone a member.
The roles
- Reader: can see all entries.
- Contributor: can add, edit and delete their own entries.
- Editor: can edit and delete all entries.
You can change the role later in the member list.
Good to know
- There is no limit per plan. On every plan, including the free plan, you can share a topic with unlimited members, and the invite link can be used as often as you like.
- The link stays valid until you choose Create New Link ... or stop sharing. A forwarded link lets nobody in unasked, because you confirm every request yourself.
- To share you need a name in your profile. If it is missing, 4later asks for it when you share.
- The "4later" topic and archived topics cannot be shared.
- Shared topics sit in the topic overview under Topics I share, and for members under Shared with you.
- Members can leave at any time with Leave Topic .... You end sharing for everyone with Stop Sharing ....
