All three plans are the same app: saving from any app, topics, AI summaries, search, reminders, all devices. Sharing is the same everywhere too: on every plan you can share topics with unlimited members. The plans differ in these limits:
Free (without a subscription, from day one)
- 100 MB cloud storage
- 10 AI chats per month
- no email import
- 1 4later account per Apple ID
Basic
- 10 GB cloud storage
- 30 AI chats per month
- your own 4later email address with up to 25 imports per month
- up to 2 4later accounts on your Apple ID
- Family Sharing included
Premium
- 100 GB cloud storage
- 150 AI chats per month
- your own 4later email address with up to 50 imports per month
- connect 4later with Claude & co. (MCP)
- up to 5 4later accounts on your Apple ID
Apple's Family Sharing is only available with a paid plan, not on the free plan. More in the article "Does my subscription cover several 4later accounts and my family?".
You see the prices in the app on the plan page (Settings → plan row). The yearly plan costs less than twelve monthly ones. Monthly allowances start again from zero with the new month; the account card in Settings shows what is left and when it resets.
